Development of a Spatial Intelligence System for the Optimization of Agricultural Treatments and their Positive Impact on the Environment
The main objective of the project is the “Development of a Spatial Intelligence System for the Optimization of Agricultural Treatments and their Positive Impact on the Environment”, which includes a digital system for the detection of diseases in crops, alert systems and traceability of the application of phytosanitary products, which promotes zero waste, interoperability and the efficient use of energy resources in the plots in order to alleviate the CO2 emissions associated with these treatments.
A system that accurately and based on real-time measurement of data from direct observation, sensorization and different sources of historical data, will launch a series of intelligent services to optimize the management and process of applying treatments, promoting efficient use of resources and reducing greenhouse gases. The system will help to implement treatment strategies, following a sustainable model that is respectful of the environment, and to revitalize rural areas. All this under a focus of effectiveness (optimal results for each need), efficiency (minimum consumption of resources) and sustainability (reduction of environmental impact, mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions and promotion of circularity). The Control System will collect the information from all the monitoring stations located in different parts of the Valencian territory, the treatments carried out, the climatic conditions, the indicators coming from sensorization and remote sensing and the results of the use of resources, so that they can be improved. predictive models in the spatial environment.
This project aims to develop the application of an efficient, manageable and simple tool to treat diseases in the vineyard, considering the environmental impact (energy and emissions) of the actions. The tool that will allow the farmer to have an agro-sustainable system to help decision-making for each field according to their production strategy, providing precise information on how to treat the disease and quantifying the impact on climate change. Likewise, this system can contribute to improving the management of diseases by reducing the treatment costs of the crop derived from the use of phytosanitary products, optimizing the necessary dose at the right time, with the consequent economic and environmental benefit and an increase in the food safety of the product. end and traceability. The definition of data interoperability standards will be key to improving response times and the availability of information. Thus, it is not only a question of determining the best time to treat a pest or disease and establishing alert models and recommendations for eco-compatible treatments, but also carrying out a spatial technical optimization of all the treatments carried out and the conditions that have caused them. determined to improve the prediction, treatment and control strategy at the territory level and not only at the parcel level.
In order to validate the model in a real environment, we have selected an important condition in a representative crop of the Valencian Community, the Downy Mildiu disease (Plasmopara viticola) in the wine-making vineyard. The Federació de Cooperatives Agro-alimentàries de la Comunitat Valenciana has a great interest in the results of the project, since the project will help the wine cooperatives in the optimization of phytosanitary treatments and the use of eco-compatible products in the mildew disease of the vineyard, quantifying its positive impact on climate change.
Digitize Project 2021
SME digitization and measures for teleworking during the COVID-19 health emergency.
Given the health emergency situation caused by COVID-19, we have implemented teleworking in the different departments of the company. As a result of this implementation, technical needs have arisen to guarantee productivity and the correct functioning of the company.
The DIGITALIZA project consists of providing digital tools to the different departments of the company to facilitate teleworking. A new model that is applied to all the activities of the company and that sets objectives in order to change the organizational culture, managing to increase labor productivity and improve the quality of life of workers. The implementation of a teleworking system not only consists of the physical relocation of the teams, but also requires a series of stages, measures and, above all, cultural changes, in addition to the strictly technical ones.
Agri 4.0 project
Smart agriculture based on the valorization of agricultural big data and digitization of the sector
The objective of the project is to develop a methodology that allows the value of agricultural data collected from different sources (public and own) to provide clients with a new, more competitive service based on big data analysis and the digitization of the agricultural sector.
The main challenge facing the project is the valorization of the data collected by the farmers. Digitization is a process that is gradually being implemented in the agricultural sector through the use of techniques and technologies that approach the problem individually. However, in these cases, the benefits are few compared to what could be obtained if a holistic treatment were carried out.
The novelty of the project consists in advancing towards smart agriculture, defining new services and business models that allow our clients to be more competitive and produce with greater profitability.
The analysis of data collected from the point of view of its integral valuation will allow the identification and definition of new value-added services based on the BigData concept. Mainly, these new services will be aimed at identifying key information in each process and providing it to each of the organization’s agents involved in the decision-making process. Each one of the agents of the organization has a responsibility in making decisions that leads the company to be more efficient. The proposed methodology identifies who needs what to be more agile and efficient.
